Q: If I do not have a current service agreement how can I receive service?

A: If you do not have a service agreement with CCS and your office is within 50 miles of our office, we will gladly provide service for you. You will receive the same great service by our certified technicians as contract customers.  Just contact our Service Team or place your service request online.


Q: I am seeing lines on my copies. What can I do?

A: Try cleaning the small glass located to the left of the main copy glass. A tiny dot on this slit glass can cause a line to be drawn across the entire page.


Q: My copies are coming out too light. How do I make them darker?

A: Make sure the paper is fresh and dry. Moisture in the paper is the number one cause of light copies.  Also, check to original quality. Some dot-matrix documents are hard to copy.  If the paper and original are fine, just adjust the exposure on the operation panel according to your operators’ manual.


Q: My copies are coming out too dark.  How do I make them lighter?

A: Make sure the original has a white background. Colored paper, such as green or blue, may cause a background on your copy.  You can also lighten the exposure setting on the operation panel. 


Q: The toner is rubbing off of my copies. What do I do?

A: Make sure the paper is the proper weight. Heavy paper such as card stock and letterhead can cause the heat to be taken out of the fuser too fast, therefore the toner does not melt into the paper.  Most copiers and printers have temperature and paperweight settings that need to be changed every time you change you paper.  Call our Service Team if you need help making these changes. 


Q: I am getting white areas or void areas in my copies.  Do I need service?

A: Most likely moisture in the paper is the problem. Open a fresh ream and try to copy again.
